Bryan, widely known as “Vandy,” is a prominent figure in the world of golf with a rich and diverse background in both playing and coaching. His extensive experience, spanning over three decades, has left an indelible mark on the sport and has contributed to the development of numerous golfers at various levels.

One of Bryan’s significant contributions to golf is his role as a founding member of the Sunshine Tour. This prestigious tour has played a pivotal role in promoting professional golf in South Africa and beyond. Bryan’s involvement in its inception reflects his deep-rooted connection to the sport and his desire to create opportunities for golfers to showcase their talents.

Bryan’s journey into coaching began with a wealth of experience gained from playing the game at both amateur and professional levels. As an amateur, he amassed an impressive ten amateur wins in South Africa, a testament to his skill and competitive spirit. He was also a valuable member of the Natal Provincial Golf Team and had the honor of representing the South African Air Force Golf Team.

Transitioning to the professional ranks, Bryan continued to make his mark. He competed on the South African Tour and achieved a remarkable top-15 finish in the South African Tour School in 1988. His dedication to the sport and his commitment to excellence earned him a place as a continuing member of the South African Sunshine Tour, where he has made valuable contributions over the years.

Bryan’s journey also led him to establish himself as the Head Golf Professional at Walker Park Golf Club in Secunda, South Africa. His leadership and expertise enriched the golfing community and further solidified his standing in the sport.

Bryan’s passion for golf and his drive to share his knowledge and insights with others eventually led him to a career in coaching. He embarked on a coaching journey that took him to different parts of the world, including South Africa, Colombia, and China. As a junior golf coach, Bryan’s impact has been profound. He has witnessed over 85 of his students achieve victories worldwide, with an impressive 41 of those wins taking place in the USA. Additionally, he has guided more than 200 students to Top Ten finishes on the global stage, with 130 of those occurring in the USA. His dedication to nurturing young talent has resulted in two of his students earning the prestigious FCWT Player of the Year Award in 2013.

Bryan’s coaching philosophy, marked by his passion for the game and his commitment to the development of young golfers, has earned him respect and admiration within the golfing community. His track record of success, combined with his trusted guidance, has made him a sought-after coach and mentor.
